Birds contest winners

This image was taken in Wyoming, just outside the East Gate to Yellowstone National Park in the Rocky Mountains. She used a Canon 7d with a 600mm lens on a tripod. She said that she had only seen a Cassin's Finch once, and this was it. She nearly missed him, but his striking coloration amid the greens of the conifers caught her eye. We are so happy she got it.
